Build faster up to 70% of time
In addition to the basic benefits on our system GreMagor, which is a passive structure independent of the selected technologies another benefit is the speed of build.
According to the source (muratordom Polish portal) schedule for the construction of home in classical, concrete or brick systems, which includes bringing the shell closed takes an average of 5 to 7 months. Preparation of ground and foundations, which is called “the zero state”, takes also more than a dozen days to several months.
Our system is revolutionizing the approach to the construction of the house, reducing the time by up to 70%, using unique construction and by reversing some of the processes that are more natural and logical and, above all, easier for teams to implement.
First, since our structure is light, it is easier to design the foundation. It may be a form of an insulated slab, which has better thermal insulation parameters. This phase is independent of our system, because the profit in making slab depends on the adopted energy-saving technologies, but can reach up to a few percent in relation to the classical foundation installation, mostly because of the lower weight of our structure.
In the next stage, our system gives a value of the structure. The design corresponds to the stage of the open shell, but there are important differences that are distancing our technology from the classical approach, namely:
– Structure is made of mass-produced modules like blocks of the known mark.
In practice, we can build skeleton in one day, which was proved breaking the record and setting the structure for 9 hours for a house of 125 m2 (see link).
– Structure is always passive (see link)
– Our stage when the skeleton is done is closest to the open shell stage, however, has the advantage over the state, as it allows for a 1-mileage approach, as we indicate in subsequent stages, comparing the course of action.
Basic earnings in the submission of the grid is an average of five months – in practice, this means that profit is more than 90% of the time provided for this stage. What is important, it is the “dry” construction type, and the items are “clicked-in” and there is no possibility of malfunction of a system following the instructions. This stage is characterized by a lack of loss of material.
The transition to the next stage can be called a revolution in the finishing and closing the structure of home. Because our design is an open grid, you can go to the stage, which is characteristic for the later work, when the house is already closed. That is, in this step may be performed all the installations, which will later be inside the structure (e.g. walls). That’s why is so important proper planning stage – if it is known how to set up installations it can be installed practically without drilling. The process is much easier and faster (for example, cables simply inserted into the structure instead of forging the walls). In this phase the construction is closed from the outside, which makes it possible to perform further work partly subsequent to phases characteristic of conventional systems. With a closed structure, for example windows, doors may be “clicked in” or may be done the roof finish-up. Because we have a unique and patented solution, windows or doors are surrounded by thermal insulation and placed in the structure according to the passive standard. Installation is also very easy – for example, the window simply can be “clicked” in the construction, rather than making complicated installation into a passive system.
The next step is to close the inside of the structure and make the “injection” of insulation under pressure. Because the design is so well thought out there are no thermal bridges and breaks in the continuity of the structure. The insulation acts like a warm quilt, crawling up the whole house. By the mean, for example, the continuity is stable at the connection of the walls to the ceiling or roof. This is consistent with the guidelines for passive houses, so there is no problem to achieve heat transmission factors that are below 0.12. Importantly, the stage of structure closing takes only couple of days not couple of weeks. In our system, the team can work in parallel, quick and thoughtful manner, within the framework of opportunities offered by the structure.
Because in our system we use special items, after closing the structure it is allowed, for example, to plaster the house, which is characteristic for the finishing stages. Please note the whole process is Single Pass, in logical order.
In conventional systems, closing-in requires a number of additional work, especially if the construction should be energy-efficient. In our system construction, after closing it, is always passive, meeting the relevant requirements EUco<15.
There are additional savings in addition to the time saving. They are the result of simplified construction process, ie:
– Advantages of a dry construction process
– The length of the presence of personnel on site, which costs less money
– The absence of losses on the material (like blocks – the elements are to deposit a certain structure and must match)
– Serial production of elements (you can buy, remodel walls, for example, sometimes modifying the structure “live”).
– More safety because of no need to use a crane like in most modular system
– Lack of “sealing” thermal bridging technologies associated
And finally the best – according to data of the National Agency for Energy Conservation in Poland in the form of “manual of good practices” for energy efficient houses, passive house in the classical system is almost impossible or unprofitable to make. The closest to it is NF40 (link), while the costs are comparable with what offers standard NF15 in our system. House in a classical system, if it does not have the proper insulation, which can be expensive and often require the use of several technologies at once, do not meet the permeability coefficients defined for the standard. Our system is designed with standard wall thickness of 36 cm and with the appropriate thermal insulation (typical factor <0.039), which satisfies the conditions for the construction of passive construction. Back to the report, on average, our design (translated according to the standards for passive houses) is 7-18 times more energy efficient (!) in comparison to houses, which were built in Poland, for example, in the 90s and houses that are energy-intensive.
